The French engineer Henry Massonnet rose to recognition after designing the chair "Fauteuil 300" which became a model for the archetypal ubiquitous plastic chair. This set of red chairs is a rare mid- career manifestation of his work, representing a space age influenced design engineered towards industrial efficiency. These chairs would work indoors our outdoors, to be pulled out at parties or as a permanent fixture for any garden.
